Welcome to JustinSauFarming.com
JustinSauFarming.com is my own personal documentation of my farming journey in Hong Kong and Cambodia. Farming has always held a special place in my heart after reading John Steinbeck's works: even at a young age I understood that the land-hunger of George and Lennie, of the Joads, of Dora Flood reflected deeper yearnings: for stability, for dignity, for family.
Luckily, I was able to discover VegeFarm Social Enterprise Limited. Their innovative farm, using hydroponic and permaculture techniques, transforms unused rooftops into vibrant green spaces, allowing city-dwellers like me to grow fresh fruits, organic vegetables, and fragrant herbs year-round. They offer a variety of services, from plant box rentals (which is how I got started), farm tours, eco-concept/farming workshops, and volunteer services.
Their verdant rooftop farm in the heart of Quarry Bay has made my love of farming blossom. While I started by just renting three small 1 square meter plant boxes, I've done my best to spread my joy and passion through many diverse avenues and helping VegeFarm spread the word of their incredible initiatives. Farming's become an incredibly important part of my growth, and I try to express my gratitude by giving back to the community in any way I can.
